My SIL held her wedding at my late grandma's lake house, but she DESTROYED the garden and turned the yard INTO A DUMP — so I gave her a wedding gift she'd never forget. My husband's sister, Kelsey, had always been unbelievably entitled. I stayed out of it because it wasn't my place. But recently, she crossed every line. Kelsey was getting ready for her wedding, but two days before the ceremony, she came to me and said: "The restaurant where my wedding was supposed to be got FLOODED. It's wedding season, so there aren't ANY restaurants available for the date. I desperately need to use your lake house. That's where the wedding will be!" The lake house had belonged to my late grandmother before she left it to me. It's where Grandma planted flowers, hand-sewed the throw pillows for the couch, and made pancakes for me in that kitchen. I take care of the house and do everything I can to keep it exactly the way she left it. So I was against it. But my husband begged me to help Kelsey out. So I agreed. I was supposed to attend the wedding, but on the day of the celebration, my aunt was rushed to the hospital, so I had to miss the entire event. The next day, I drove out to the lake house, and I was horrified. The flowers from my grandmother's garden had been ripped out and woven into a DECORATIVE WEDDING ARCH. Trash was scattered all over the backyard and throughout the house. Plastic cups, snack wrappers, and champagne bottles were lying everywhere. The lawn was completely destroyed, as if heavy tables had been dragged across it and hundreds of people had danced on it all night. I called Kelsey, demanded to know what had happened, and told her she needed to restore EVERYTHING exactly the way it had been. She burst out laughing and said: "It was MY WEDDING, so I did whatever I wanted. I don't care what you think. Instead of calling me, you should've already started cleaning up." I'd had enough. I knew EXACTLY how to teach Kelsey a lesson. I sent her a VERY SPECIAL box as my wedding gift. That evening, she called me screaming: "YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! NO!"
